Anna Barata, PhD , Mass General Brigham Cancer Institute
Sunday, May 3, 2026 | 12:00 p.m.
Cognitive changes such as difficulties with memory, concentration, and organization are common after transplant and CAR T-cell therapy.
In this session, Dr. Barata will explain why these changes happen, how long they may last, and practical steps you can take to reduce their impact on daily life.
Dr. Barata is an Assistant Professor at the Mass General Brigham Cancer Institute and Harvard Medical School.
Her research focuses on improving outcomes for patients with hematologic cancers undergoing stem cell transplantation or CAR T-cell therapy. She studies patient-reported and cognitive outcomes and develops psychological and behavioral interventions designed to improve quality of life for both patients and care partners.
